Multilingual Speaking Clock – A Clock that Speaks Out the Time
Don’t know about you, but sometimes I get so engulfed by something that I don’t even notice how time flies by. Take the fmylife.com site that I’ve recently uncovered; I spent more than three hours last night reading and reading. When I eventually took a look at the clock I went” man, I can’t believe it 10 already”. Other times I lose focus on work so hard that I don’t notice how time flies by.
You could say something like “hey, how hard is it to glance at the Windows tray clock every once in again?” I agree, it’s not hard, but when you get engulfed in something, you forget to do even a simple task like taking a look at the clock.
When I can’t do something myself, I ask for help. In this situation I could ask a software application for help – like the Lux Aeterna-developed Multilingual Speaking Clock. This is an application that speaks out the time. Perfect solution; the clock will tell me the time when I’m so focused on something that I forget to look at the clock. I can use this application to speak out the time at regular intervals of time.
The nice thing about Multilingual Speaking Clock (as its name so adequately points out) is that it provides support for multiple languages. It can speak out the time in over 30 languages. English, German and French are installed automatically; other languages are available for download here .
Speaking out the time is not all the Multilingual Speaking Clock does – it also let you set up alarms. The alarm will play one of four sounds when it kicks in.
Multilingual Speaking Clock is offered by Lux Aeterna free of charge. It should work just fine on all Windows versions. If you get an error message when trying to run Multilingual Speaking Clock on Vista or Windows 7, run the application as administrator.
Multilingual Speaking Clock is free, is easy to use, lets you set up alarms, and speaks the time to you so you always know what time it is. It is a handy little app that you should try.
